A Little Update
The weather is getting warmer, the trees are getting greener and everything is starting to look prettier outside, which is VERY exciting. The land we’re using for the ceremony is starting to get cleaned up a little.
Trees branches are being cleared, sticks are being swept up, grass is being mulched and it’s all for our wedding. We’re hoping to have a small bunch of flowers planted. Dalton, Jacki’s brother, and his posse of friends are doing a lot of the work now. Bob and Rob are mowing. Mark, the owner of the land, even bought a new lawnmower designed especially for fields to get the job done in an hour or two.
As far as decorations go, Jacki and I are working hard to get everything finished. It’s been pretty crazy lately, but we’re making headway. Right now, most of our effort is focused on table runners and programs. Megan (one of the bridesmaids) and her boyfriend, Matt, helped us last Sunday night with a few of them. It took an unbelievely long amount of time just to do one. Matt also donated his ironing board to the cause. Unfortunately, Charlie, our kitten, seems to love to jump on it and send it plummeting towards to the ground.
He’s not an incredibly curious kitten, as you can probably guess.
For the most part, everything is under control. We’ve still got a lot of work to do, but it’s all been very exciting. Our mantra seems to be that “We’re only throwing a party this big one single time in our lives, so we might as well try to do as much as we can to make it fun.”
We’ve been getting your RSVPs in the mail everyday. It’s one of the most exciting things in the world. Our mailman probably hates us because of how many we get. To those of you haven’t sent us a reply back yet, do it quickly! We’d like to know by June 1st and that’s a mere 9 days away!
